It's a fun historical game by its own merits, and an interesting sequel that makes a few improvements to the original and additions that add replay value, like character relationships.
Jubei Yagyu was an odd choice for a main character, since he wouldn't have been born till after Japan was unified, but I'm not complaining.
The combat is great, the bosses are fun especially the honourable demon Gogandantessand it's overall just a great sequel to an already solid game. If you still have a PS2, then that's your only way of playing the game since Capcom haven't re-released any of the Onimusha games probably due to the celebrity likenesses usedso I recommend getting it while you still can.
